The 500e will be one of the first EV's to come to Canada from Stellantis, Fiat's parent company.
EV Motor and Power
While the North America specs of the 500e is currently undisclosed, the European version features a higher-powered electric motor with 117 HP with Front-Wheel drive likely being the only option available. The last-generations of 500e came with a 111 HP electric motor that accelerated from 0-60 mph in 8.4 seconds. The company has confirmed that the North American motor will offer 162 lb-ft of torque.
Range, and Battery Life
The 500e that is currently offered in other parts of the world (Europe) feature two different types of batteries with the large battery (37.3 kWh unit) having the approximate max capacity of 320 KM of range. Real-world driving in North America can be a little different but it can be expected that the EPA range will be closer to 250 KM, based on initial testing
Design
The FIAT® 500e appears to be coming to North America with both a hardtop hatchback and soft top convertible style. The European market features a 3+1 door configuration that has not been confirmed for the North American market. During the LA Auto show, three one-off concept cars; Armani, Kartell, Bulgari models, were shown to highlight the car's Italian heritage and fashionable styling.
